The Course offers the opportunity to work over an extended period of time, guided by a very experienced Team. The material presented and to be worked on includes: The new material that is currently being introduced by RF in GC; Calisthenics; Fretboard Knowledge; Revision of GC Primaries; Right Practice; Ear Training; Special Repertoire; and Themes, the latter presented and guided by Dr.Mike Grenfell. Martin Schwutke informs: "The Repertoire for this AAD course will include one major solo piece, which will be worked on over an extended time period"
Themes Work At-A-Distance "A series of Themes will be presented as one part of the At-A-Distance course. The idea is that Themes provide a focus for us to work. Some will be things to do. Some will be things to look out for. Exercises will be included. Some will be things to think about. Or, a combination of some of these. Themes will normally be presented in a series of four, followed by time off. Once signed up, you commit yourself to working with these four Themes. Once a Theme is presented, you then have three days to work with it. Signing up commits you to providing a report describing what you did and what comments you may have. During the AAD, there will be two groups working on Themes: A and B. Group A is for anyone, but is especially aimed at participants who have not done Themes work before, or done the occasional Theme on residential courses (for example as part of the Introduction to Kitchen Craft). Group B is for those who have worked through nearly all of the phases of the two recent AAD courses and wish to take the work further. A restricted access page will be set up for both groups, so that only those who are signed up can view the Themes and reports. We will ask you to apply for one or the other of the groups. We’ll then take it from there. " We are open to respond to necessities of the participants as we go along during the 6 months. Participation requires the commitment to practice on a regular basis: - the Morning Sitting In order to participate an Application Letter is requested: - Who are you? (please list all GC Courses that you have attended) Fee: EU 690 Discounts: To apply to the Course and/or for further information please contact the GC Registrar through the contact page.
