AAD (At-A-Distance) Course 2008-2009Monday 17th of November, 2008 to Friday 13th of February, 2009Directed by Martin Schwutke, Dr.Mike Grenfell & Hernán Nuñez This 3 month course is being offered as a response to the need expressed regarding AAD work by the wide GC Community. AAD projects are known in GC as "the glue between the courses". The course is open to those who have at least attended an Introduction to Guitar Craft and have taken the principles presented seriously, and offers the opportunity to work over an extended period of time, guided by a very experienced Team. The material presented and to be worked on will include those exercises which were introduced by Robert to a few members of The League of Crafty Guitarists in San Cugat recently. This material is known as "Developing Variations" and has been taken further now. It offers a wide potential for personal practice and musical application. The presentations will be supported by video and audio files, in ways that have proven suitable for the At-A-Distance Course format. We will also work on "Being in Tone" (sounding good); Right Practice; Ear Training; Special Repertoire; and Themes, the latter presented and guided by Dr. Mike Grenfell. On this Dr.Mike writes: "A programme of Themes work will also be offered as part of the AAD for those who wish. The exact form and content of this work will be determined by the needs of the team. However, we are envisaging six Themes over the course of the AAD. These will begin with some basic Themes as Introduction and Review but will rapidly move on to new more advanced and challenging Themes. Participants will define their own level of work." We are open to respond to necessities of the participants as we go along during the 3 months. Participation requires the commitment to practice on a regular basis: - the Morning Sitting In order to participate an Application Letter is requested: - Who are you? (please list all GC Courses that you have attended) Fee: EUR 350 To apply to the Course and/or for further information please contact the GC Registrar through the contact page.
