An Introduction to Guitar Craft Mendoza, ArgentinaWednesday 3rd to Tuesday 9th of September, 2003Martin Schwutke, Hernan Nuñez Convento Nuestra Señora del Amén This full-length residential Course will present the basics of Guitar Craft. It is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Players of all levels are welcome to participate. No prior experience is required. Various Guitar Craft basic techniques and skills will be introduced. This Course is required of anyone who wishes to attend a Level One Guitar Craft Course with Robert Fripp. It is ideal for those wishing to make a beginning in Guitar Craft, and is recommended for anyone with prior experience in Guitar Craft who feels the need to begin again and reconnect.
The focus will be on fundamental principles in the use of both hands, coordination, and the direction of attention. Work is done on steel-string acoustic guitars, using a pick.
Hernán Nunez will direct this Seminar, assisted by Martin Schwutke, and supported by a team of experienced crafties. Both Hernán and Martin have long experience in Guitar Craft, going back to 1987.
A specially invited instructor (Alexander Technique) will be working on body awareness, attention and relaxation techniques, in group classes and in personal meetings.
The Course will be held at a facility near Mendoza, Argentina. The facilities for the course are modest but fine.
