At-A-Distance Six Saturday 12th of October to Saturday 23rd of November, 2002Curt Golden, Frank Sheldon The sixth At-A-Distance Course (AAD) is not a Guitar Craft course, but participants must have attended a Guitar Craft or a related course, such as a New Standard Tuning Weekend. As before, AAD 2002 will be web-based. The course will be conducted and themes posted by Curt Golden and Frank Sheldon, and observations posted by participants. There will be Themes as in prior years. Themes are, among other things, a way of looking at one aspect common in your experience, with the possibility of gaining insight that will help you in a practical way. Perhaps more important, the demand of working at Themes can lift you into a realm where some freedom from your conditioning is possible. When you work with Themes, the aim is to take them to heart, and then post whatever observations come. There will be two interrelated Course Themes, which are currently posted on the Seattle Circle AAD Six page. Although one theme is specific to guitar, in essence it applies to any work or discipline. The second Theme furthers the possibility of applying core principles to life in general. Within the course there will be follow-ups from Frank and Curt. Observations on Themes from participants will be encouraged and welcome. Other work will also be suggested. There were 123 participants in the AAD last March. Applications and queries may be sent to the registrar, Frank Sheldon. |
