Introduction to the New Standard Tuning Colrain, MA, USA

During this weekend the New Standard Tuning will be introduced and an introduction to basic techniques, commonly used in Guitar Craft, will be given. It is open to anyone, 18 years or older, who wishes to attend. Players of all levels are welcome to participate. This Course is appropriate for anyone who wishes to attend an Introduction to Guitar Craft in the future. It is also recommended for anyone with prior experience in Guitar Craft who wishes to continue their work, or to reconnect. The focus will be on fundamental principles in the use of both hands, coordination, and the direction of attention. Work is done on steel-string acoustic guitars, using a pick. The weekend will be directed by Tony Geballe, who has been a Guitar Craft Instructor since 1985. Stephanie Kalka, a Certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique will present an introduction to the Technique as a way of learning the correct use of the body. The Seminar will be held in Colrain, Massachusetts, approximately 80 miles east of Albany, NY and 100 miles west of Boston, MA.
